Since writing my book I have found out so much more about this fascinating man and hope to publish it here before too long. Definitely the most interesting character in my family history.

This is what started my interest in my family history. My father inherited a signet ring and wooden shield bearing a crest and motto from his father, and I was determined to find out their origins.

I eventually uncovered the truth and sadly there is no dormant peerage. All will be revealed ... one day.
